2017 FAB FULTON Events

The Summer of FAB is here! FREE, family-friendly programming returns to Fulton Street: movies, music, art and games punctuate a full 2017 schedule of events in Fort Greene and Clinton Hill, launching May 19th. The free events and activities will take place throughout the season in the public plazas and parks along Fulton Street, in Fort Greene and Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, a strip known as FABFulton. The complete schedule of events is below; mark your calendars now, and plan on FAB fun, all season long!

Putnam Triangle (Fulton and Grand)

Ages: 12 mos. - 5 years

Little ones get pumped for these stimulating musical mornings in sunny Putnam Triangle! Local favorites lead lively sing-alongs, mini music lessons, storytelling circles and interactive role-play in a social setting, while parents and caregivers look on -- and join in!

ART FEST, featuring Myrtle + Fulton ART WALK

(Art installations in various locations along Myrtle Avenue and Fulton Street; festival in Putnam Triangle)
Art lovers of all ages will appreciate this colorful kickoff celebration of the season: ART FEST will be chock-full of fantastic activities, interactive art projects, face painting, and more! Don’t miss artist-led demonstrations by creatives like Urban Glass studio artists, and meet-and-greet opportunities, like with visual artist Fanny Allié, who has a current temporary exhibit in Putnam Triangle Plaza. Plus, the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership and Fulton Area Business Alliance are joining forces to present an ART WALK event and exhibition along two main commercial avenues. The mapped route includes over 30 exhibits and will highlight artists, businesses and the vibrant communities that are Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.

Take your fun offline for this awesome day dedicated to all things games! From urban croquet to double-dutch jumping to traditional board games, there will be something for everyone to play the day away. If strategy and skill is more your thing, check out the life-sized chess board, or even better, play against a chess expert: 21-year-old Stanford University co-ed and Brooklyn native Rochelle Ballantyne will face multiple challengers -- simultaneously --  in an annual tournament. (Free registration starts at 10am!)

Faculty from the venerable neighborhood institution -- who are musicians and bandleaders in their own right -- will entertain with jazz standards and new material followed by a jam session open to the public, and set the tone for the weekend ahead.
