Jazz Set to Sizzle on FAB Fulton This Summer

Friday, May 5, 2017

It's no secret that the FAB FULTON district is in the heart of Brooklyn's cultural and creative corridor. FAB Alliance is honored to participate in the borough's long-standing arts tradition by once again presenting live outdoor jazz performances this season, in partnership with two renowned institutions, Jazz966 and Brooklyn Music School (BMS).

Enjoy awesome live sets in Clinton Hill's Putnam Triangle Plaza (located at Fulton St. and Grand Ave.), as FAB Alliance presents the popular series, Jazz966 at the Plaza. On June 8, we welcome the musical stylings of vocalist Patsy Grant; and Broadway, soul and jazz drummer-percussionist Napoleon Revels-Bey will fill the summer air with beautiful sounds on Aug. 10. Both early-evening shows (6-8pm) are FREE, and dancing is encouraged!

Fort Greene will swing in September during a series of three Friday afternoon concerts with Brooklyn Music School, at 7-Corners (Fulton St. at Oxford Pl.). Faculty from the venerable institution -- who are musicians and band leaders in their own right -- will entertain with jazz standards and new material, followed by jam sessions open to the public! Catch all the fun from 5:30-7:30pm with Brian Woodruff (Sept. 8), Jeff Newell (Sept. 15) and Duane Eubanks (Sept. 22).

Jazz966 at the Plaza is presented by the FAB Alliance, with generous support from
