Friday, March 4, 2011
Come to the PUTNAM TRIANGLE at Fulton Street and Grand Avenue in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn and leave with a FREE TREE to plant in your front or back yard, at your business, or at your church, school or apartment complex (as long as it's private property).

Whether you live in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Park Slope, Crown Heights, Prospect Heights, Clinton Hill, Fort Greene or other New York City neighborhood, come to the Free Tree Giveaway and walk away with a FREE TREE!

More trees to meet demand!

The Free Tree Giveaway held last year at the Putnam Triangle in Clinton Hill was originally planned as a 2-day event. But, demand was so high that 200 trees were given away in just over an hour. This year, the number of available trees has been increased to 300 TREES!

Trees will be distributed one per person on a first-come, first-serve basis until supplies run out. Limit one tree per person.

Limited quantities of the following species of trees are expected to be available: “Cherokee Brave” dogwood (pink flowers), Kwanzan cherry (pink) and Yoshino cherry (white to pink). Horticulture specialists will be on hand to answer questions and provide species selection recommendations. Simple planting and tree care instructions come with each tree.
